Metribuzin,S-metolachlor

STRIM MTZ Herbicide features a powerful combination of metribuzin and S-metolachlor (Groups 5 and 15) to control some of the most stubborn annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in soybeans and potatoes. A higher level of metribuzin provides industry-leading broadleaf control. STRIM MTZ delivers early season, residual control of hard-to-kill redroot pigweed, eastern black nightshade, lambsquarters and common and giant ragweed.

COMMENTS

  • Injury to soybeans or reduced weed control may occur when STRIM MTZ Herbicide is applied to soils with a pH of 7.5 or higher.
  • Soybean seeds must be planted at least 4 cm below the soil surface or crop injury may result. Do not apply if soybeans have emerged.

COMMENTS

  • VARIETIES: Consult your chemical dealer, or your seed supplier for information on the metribuzin tolerance of soybean varieties, prior to STRIM MTZ use.

1 Use the higher rate of STRIM MTZ Herbicide for control of heavier weed populations.

2 Consult the label of the product(s) to be tank mixed with STRIM MTZ Herbicide for specific instructions regarding broadleaf weeds, soil-type variations and rotational crop, grazing and other restrictions.

3 Some perennial weeds may not be controlled with this rate of glyphosate. Consult the glyphosate labels regarding perennial weeds controlled.

COMMENTS

  • Do not use on the varieties Belleisle, Tobique or Superior as crop injury may result.
  • Potato varieties may vary in their tolerance to STRIM MTZ Herbicide.
  • When using STRIM MTZ Herbicide for the first time on a particular variety, always confirm tolerance before using on a field scale.
  • Do not apply at ground crack or if potatoes have emerged.
  • Do not harvest within 60 days of application.
  • Apply after hilling. Hilling operations made after application of STRIM MTZ will reduce weed control.
  • One application per year.
