UPL inaugurates new copper production plant in Mourenx, France dedicated to organic production

UPL-&-Gexcon-pact

The culmination of a process started 5 years ago of listening to the requests coming from the Italian market, where organic farming is very developed, UPL inaugurated its new copper production plant, a state-of-the-art plant dedicated to organic production.

Attention to been paid particularly to the sustainability of the production process and to having lines dedicated exclusively to the organic sector. For UPL, historically, copper expected to be in its actual form is not copper, but brochantite, a particular form of crystallization of copper sulfate that characterizes all its copper formulations.

This important milestone has come at the same time as the complany celebrates 20 years since the launch of POLTIGLIA DISPERSS, the first Bordeaux Mixture in water dispersible micro-granules which came to the Italian market.

This is an excellent strategy to ensure about at least another 20 years of successes related to this plant, in which UPL has invested huge resources. About 16 million euros have been invested in this new facility, with very modern equipment to be able to produce even from recycled copper.

But its not only UPL who benefits here. To have a company like UPL that invests and continues to invest in the country, in order to offer a complete portfolio of solutions for agriculture, is also important also for Italian farmers.
